Google Play competitor analysis in five API calls

From one package name to a full competitor table: category leaders, rival portfolios and keyword neighbours.

1. Your own record

4. Rival portfolios

For each rival in the lists above, /developer?id=… returns all of its apps. A rival with many small apps plays a different game than one with a single big product.

5. The table

Merge the lists, drop duplicates and sort by installs. Keep installs, rating, number of ratings and last update as columns, and you have a competitor table that is cheap to refresh every month.
